The same approximate weight and length of the “Tommy Hawk”, the Peterson Bump Hammer is designed without the infamous sharp corners that have created so many “Tommy Hawk Thumbs.” Our narrower ergonomic handle and textured finish allow for a firmer, steadier grip. Additionally Peterson’s weighting holes mean you can vary the hammer weight to create the performance YOU desire.

A SELECTION OF HAMMERS TO FIT YOUR NEEDS:
Flexibility is one of the key factors in successful bumping. European experimenters even developed handles made from shoe leather for the most flexible handle and least follow-through possible. Many other locksmiths prefer the steadier swing and harder strike of a firmer handle. For some, a moderately flexible handle, such as that found on our black hammer, is the best of both worlds.
